Underscore Projects was engaged to develop the design of a sewer rising main serving a new sewer pump station within the Western Sydney International Airport precinct through to issued-for-construction documentation, designed to WSA/WSAA requirements. Scope included alignment and long-section design, scour and air valve design, odour control and septicity assessment, and surge screening with transient modelling. Separately, Underscore provided an the reference design and an independent peer review of the pump station design for the principal.
Underscore Projects designed the sewer rising main between the new sewer pump station and the existing receiving pump station through to IFC, to WSA requirements. Hydraulic scope covered alignment and long-section design, pipe sizing and velocity checks, scour and air valve design, odour control and septicity assessment, surge screening with transient modelling, and trench and backfill detailing. Underscore separately provided a reference design and independent peer review of the pump station design for the principal, covering structural flotation checks against the performance specification and the pump station’s interaction with the gravity network.
